This car is BULLETPROOF - 1999 Toyota Camry Solara
By x1mjp1x - December 28 - 4:51 pmIve racked up over 300,000 miles on this thing and the engine still starts and runs as quiet as the day I bought it back when it had 70K miles on it. The only mistake Ive ever made was a valve repair job at the Toyota dealership that cost me $1300. Couldve taken it anywhere else for half that price. Outside of that, for a car to be this old, replacing parts is normal, but infrequent. Its ridiculously over-powered and has higher horse power, torque, and towing capacity than some brand new SUVs. Why Toyota decide a car this size needed this much power in its class, who knows. Ive never towed a damn thing with it. I love this car. I talk to it and tell it so. I believe it loves me too.

By MikeS - July 30 - 11:56 pmThe car is a little boring if its stock. I TRDed mine and i love it, black with black wheels. I always get compliments and people mistake it for a 2004-2005. The only complaint I have is that i didnt get it in stick.. PS I got it with 72k miles on it and not one single problem..yet Buy with confidence. mike

By H. Hart - July 29 - 9:10 pmMy 1999 Solara SE V6 is a WONDERFUL car! For a first car, I thought it was too nice for me! I love the roominess of the two front seats and even the back seats. The sunroof is awesome and I love the one touch button that opens/closes or tilts it! Since this car is a Toyota, it´s going to be very reliable. I absolutely love the HUGE trunk! Everything is running smoothly with this car and my little sister can´t wait ´til she can drive it when I pass it down to her.

Ive yet to have any problems with the vehicle. The acceleration is fantastic, and the ride is very smooth. The Solara is very sporty yet practical, and an all around great vehicle

By Bob - June 5 - 10:00 amMy last car got totaled by an idiot. Her insurance paid $4.5 K to buy another car.I saw this pearl color Solara SLEV6 99 with 123K miles on it. It was clean inside out and was fully loaded. Tinted glass, Climatic control, leather seats, spoiler, even 3 remote garage door openers. The seller wanted 6K but sold it for 3.9K so I spent the rest of the money on a timing belt. Now the car has 160K miles on it and over this period it has had 4 new tires, break pads battery, Starter, and is trouble free touch wood. It looks nice and modern and I have no car payments. Cant be bad.

167,000 miles bought at auction - 1999 Toyota Camry Solara
By Dana - May 2 - 2:33 amI bought this car at a auction with 130,000 miles. I have driven from SC to FL and SC to VA countless times. Now with 167,000 miles still runs great no problems at all! Very roomy, and fun to drive, looks great inside/outside. Im sold on toyota! I really dont want to sell it but with a baby I really need an SUV or sedan.

The storage space is decent in the trunk but you might have trouble getting some things in the trunk because the clearance isnt amazing. It has never not started. I expect it to keep running into the 300g of milage and I run it pretty hard into high rpm often. It can get to 60 mph in less the 7 sec. the interior is well built and looks nice but the seats dont last. Sound system is very nice and can be very loud.

Although this car was geared for adults that didnt have to haul any kids around i.e 50yrs +, I bought it out of college and its been awesome. My car is fully loaded barring the side impact airbags and I have had no unusual issues.
